“Go Green” Home and Garden Show ends Sunday

The ninth annual “Go Green” Home and Garden Show, sponsored by Soroptimist International of Fallon wraps up Sunday at the Fallon Convention Center.

The show’s hours on on Sunday are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parking and admission are free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the show.

About half the vendors deal directly with home and garden supplies and the remaining vendors are local businesses. 

A raffle will be held during the show and tickets can be purchased for $1 each or six for $5. Raffle prizes include a Rada knife set and a Fallonopoly game.

Sunday’s demonstrations include installing and caring for ponds and the use of primers and painting techniques by Louie’s Home Center. Maxine Caprioli-Hight of Artistically Yours will also hold a demonstration on artistic painting. Chambers said additional demonstrations by other local businesses may be added before the weekend. A 50/50 bingo will be conducted outside between the demonstrations.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the show, and the Model Railroaders of Fallon will have a display outside.
